    • That is true - noticed many times Red Wing isn’t on price with surrounding communities.  What made it strange to me was places like Durand and Mondovi who both just got Kwik Trips recently were both above $3 - they’ve been consistently 20-30 cents cheaper all summer.
    • Changing the grid isn’t impossible. Battery tech and solar improve every year. Fossil fuels has been stagnant for decades.     in 1920 most industry in the U.S. ran on steam, by 1930 electricity. It took a decade to put up the grid for that to happen. All the breakthroughs are happening in electrical production and storage.   Plus it’s getting cheaper.  It costs me $5.00 to drive 400km, they are extrapolating the data on degradation of new batteries and think the average will last 20 years.  Even if they drop to 80% in 10 years they still make great commuters or haul out the battery and use it for back up power.     Standing in the way of progress has never been a recipe for success
    • no... old school GTi or Delta Integrale
    • Red Wing is odd.  It'll be low, like you saw, and stay low for about a month.  Then, out of nowhere it'll be higher than most places in the surrounding area.  And yes, I'm talking strictly Kwik Trips since they are by far and large the most common gas stations around here.  Red Win will go from 20 cents cheaper to equal or greater overnight while others move minimally. Still though - nice to see it at $2.81 while it lasts!
