The remainder of the trails are in excellent shape for this early-season ski opportunity. Be sure to check out our revised trail map as segments and the trailhead location have changed due to bridges being out of commission due to the mega-storm event. Less rocky/rugged trails such as Logging Camp, Deer Mouse, Red Pines, Summer Home, Campground Loop, etc. are phenomenal right now – no issues using your good skies. For the majority of the rest of the trails we recommend B-skis as there are a couple of short sections on some of these loops where some dirt is still present from the groomer cleats, i.e., Moose Ridge, Cross Fox, Ridge Run, Upper Beaver Dam. West end logging camp is, as many know, a very rocky trail. Some rocks are still poking through on that section so we’d recommend rock skies if you decide to go around the west end of Flour Lake. We groomed it again yesterday and while it turned out pretty darn good in most places, there are just enough spots where the rogue rock pokes through that we can’t comfortably say, “for sure, take your good skies on it.” Lake crossings are not open yet so feel free to drive between Golden Eagle and Bearskin if you only have good skies with you. As soon as the ice is thick enough to cross with snowmobiles, we will get North-South Link connected. We have some warmish weather today and tomorrow, but nothing too bad. Highs around 33-34 degrees. This time of year, with the short days and cloudy skies, we aren’t too worried about it causing any significant damage to the trail base. Chances of snow start again Wednesday evening through Thursday night. Grooming frequently occurs between the release of new trail reports. For the most up to date grooming information, as well specific trail conditions, please contact Golden Eagle Lodge (218-388-2203) or Bearskin Lodge (218-388-2292). Central Gunflint Ski Pass Required. More Info gunflint mile 28.0  banadad ski trails Open – Last Update: December 17 Saturday and Sunday (12/15 & 12/16/2024) we cleared and packed (many times) the 1st 10k of the trail. We have at least a foot and 1/2 of snow and are waiting the serious freeze this week to settle our packed base. We cleared other sections, from the West End in several miles and other sections in the middle but are seriously hampered by many many downed good size trees. Not sure if whole trail can be fully open this year We are focusing in on doing what we can well. The majority of use is in & out from East End. The other is in & out from West End. Total system skiing is limited so with the many trees down, we have to prioritize around the heavy usage. We’ll keep at it and keep you posted.   Skinny Ski posts when we can groom. Right now it you could ski in 10k for the East but no tracks and we still have lots of alder stubble to clear out.        We need snow to groom and are waiting the forecast but nothing real soon emerging. More Info gunflint mile 41.6  upper gunflint ski & snowshoe trail system Open – Last Update: December 17 The cooler temps and a dusting of snow last night made for good grooming this morning! • Poor guy.... all those indictments/charges/convictions... what will he ever do? The credibility of the accusers in the allegations against Matt Gaetz has been a significant point of discussion. According to various reports, the Department of Justice (DOJ) investigation into Gaetz's alleged involvement in sex trafficking was closed without charges due to questions about the credibility of the central witnesses. One key witness, Joel Greenberg, a former Seminole County tax collector, pleaded guilty to multiple crimes, including sex trafficking, which significantly undermined his reliability as a witness. Additionally, there were reports that one of the accusers, who was central to the allegations, had a history of fabricating information to target political opponents, further casting doubt on the accusations against Gaetz.   Public sentiment on platforms like X has also highlighted these credibility issues, with users and commentators pointing out the lack of substantiation in the allegations and the questionable motives of some involved.   These factors collectively contributed to the narrative that the accusers lacked credibility, which was a significant reason why no charges were filed against Gaetz.
