As I stated before I know some that claim they use legal labor. This farm has been in the spotlight before so I have no reason to doubt their honesty. They are large enough to be targeted by the likes of PETA so they really try and do things by the book.
Most of our larger farms that might have the need are all multi-family owned and honestly don't need that much outside labor. Others use local labor and treat those families extremely well generally gifting or selling cheap a farm the worker/family live on after a certain amount of service.
Without question illegal labor is used in agriculture across the country.....no different than many industries. Those that hire them should face stiff penalties and those that came here illegally should in most cases be sent home or offered a chance to stay with some stiff penalties for employer and employee and mandatory entry into the legal worker visa program. If they have been charged with any other crimes......Gone as soon as their sentence is up. (if in jail)
