It’s kind of funny that people even compare the s and ev6 considering the a is around 40 grand more.
Another advantage is the vtl on the ev6. You can power your house in a black out with the Kia’s. When their wkndr arrives it’ll make it a really fun camping van.
Tesla has the advantage with availability and reliability of chargers. They are opening those up to Kia this year so they are giving away that advantage. But they overcharge so they’ll be making good money at least.
As destination charging proliferates fast charging will not be as important.
For instance if you have level 2 chargers at home and the cottage, hotels or campsites the need for arriving close to full evaporates. Our long drives consist of leaving at 100% driving 3-400 km doing a 20 minute fast charge, drive 250-300km stopping for a meal at a 50kw charger until full. Driving 3-400 km and charging at the destination. 1,100 km is way more than I feel like driving in a day.
basically cars are dialled in, trucks probably need solid state batteries.
