Dan Revering mentioned having one of his ‘25 Cross Country’s available for sale on his Instagram.
The unfortunate truth is neither XC nor sno-x racing sells sleds to the average rider anymore. Just like triples fell out of favor in the 90’s, sno-x replica sleds fell out of favor in the 00’s, now it’s mountain sleds that have both the consumer and OEM’s attention and it’s been that way for over a decade. The guys who introduced the ‘26 Polaris sleds weren’t racers, they were backcountry mountain riders.
Once Cat finally goes away for good this summer, snowmobile racing will greatly diminish. There’s no point to Polaris and Doo continuing to spend money on racing venues that don’t directly translate into sled sales with customers. Polaris’s ancient sno-x sled doesn’t even resemble anything they currently have on dealer floors.
