You act as if they don't know the disparities. Do you know for sure whether or not we asked or are you just assuming? Ask yourself why haven't they just removed or equalized any disparities when Trump announced tariffs. You are putting all on the US. Its laughable you think we are the only ones playing the game.
Its not also just about the tariffs but restrictions to what we can even export there which generally drives much higher tariffs that we've seen listed like dairy and other AG products.
I get it they are trying to protect their own industries as should we. They have some industries they manipulate to keep prices higher and then our products become more competitive. They don't like that and I'd expect we wouldn't either.
If they concede its admission that they were taking advantage of us. I get not wanting to do that.
